Good News
Well this week has been great. I finally was able to get things together and join the World Gym in Idaho Falls Idaho. The weather turned bad fast this year in Southeast Idaho and I had to take a hiatus from working out. But, now everything is back on track Matt, Ben, and I all had a great work out on Monday working on our upper body strength. It was really fun and exciting.

Strongman History:
Jesse burst onto the scene in 2002 and placed 5th in the nationals at just 22 years of age, which was his first ticket to the World's Strongest Man competition. In 2003 he showed he was no fluke, finishing 4th place and returning to the WSM competition once again. In 2005, Jesse was the runner-up at WSM, placing 2nd only to Maruisz Pudzianowski of Poland. Sadly Jesse passed away on July 25, 2007 He was a great American competitor and we will all miss him.

Motto
Just added a slide show of some of our groups training hope they are entertaining. I didn't make it out to train today because of some family obligations but, I plan on hitting it hard tomorrow. Matt is out of town this week so it will just be me, at least it won't take to long to finish a set. It is always harder to push yourself when your alone. But as Forrest Griffin says "The Juice is worth the squeeze". This is one of my adopted personal motto's, I find it to be very true the more you put into yourself and a workout the more you will take away from it.

In The Begining
Hello my name is Scott Edwards and I have created this blog as a place to document my adventure's in strength training and fitness. This blog will be a place to post my workouts, pictures of training and posts from my Strongman family.
Right now I am training with my friends Matt Anderson and Ben Giesler, we train with conventional methods as well as the unconventional. We pull cars, lift stones, and carry big slabs of rock for fun. We also bench press, squat, dead lift, and a variety of over head training. We have also been known to through a caber, flip a tire, and swing a sledge hammer.
I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in the subject of strength training and fitness and would love any suggestions for this blog.
Thanks
